This powerful message centers on a profound truth captured in the hymn 'We've Come This Far by Faith' - a recognition that our journey, both individually and collectively, has been sustained not by our own strength but by leaning on the Lord. Written by Albert Goodson in 1956, this song encapsulates what it means to acknowledge our progress and survival through difficult times by trusting in God rather than personal strength alone. The scripture from 1 Samuel 7:12 echoes this sentiment: 'Thus far, the Lord has helped us.' We're invited to reflect on how none of us could have made it this far without divine help - whether we've been lost without direction, uncertain about our next provision, or lacking the strength to continue. The message emphasizes that faith isn't just about looking back with gratitude, but about building a foundation for future endeavors.

As we examine 2 Peter 1:1-8, we discover that multiplication of grace, peace, and spiritual prosperity comes through the full, personal, precise, and correct knowledge of God and Jesus Christ. This knowledge isn't merely intellectual - it's transformative, calling us to exercise our faith to develop virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and Christian love.

The journey of faith requires intentional spiritual exercise, growing up in God rather than remaining spiritually stagnant.
